Coneburg Community: Stand with Us in Need
Donation protected
Words from the owner Lindsey Marshall:
As you all know, the Coneburg Grill & Pub experienced a debilitating fire on Sunday morning, December 8th. As the news has spread, we have had so many of our loyal customers requesting a way to donate funds to help our Coneburg Family get through this event. If you are so inclined to donate funds, you can do so here.
Additionally, an emergency fund account has been set up with Vintage Bank and you can donate at any Vintage Bank in Kansas.
The Peabody Association of Churches can also receive larger, tax exempt donations and will provide a receipt for your taxes. They are also collecting Christmas gifts for the children of our employees. We are so thankful for these organizations assisting us at this time, when the world is a whirlwind for us.
For our loyal customers: We have been moved by the thousands of calls, texts, FaceBook messages, etc. It has simply been overwhelming, the amount of love and support we have experienced. Our immediate concern is keeping our staff's wages paid while we go through the process with the insurance company and develop a plan forward. With Christmas coming, we're concerned for our Coneburg staff and their families and their abilities to make ends meet. So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you for your generous donations. I have been deeply moved by your concern for us and your generosity. Our team has worked tirelessly for the last 13 years, creating the unique experience you have when you visit us. The food, the ambiance, the good times, the traditions. We know this will be a road bump for us, but we are determined to rebuild the Coneburg, the best we can. In Peabody, we are a gritty, determined, tenacious group of people and we simply overcome the obstacles in our path--with love and community support, we are always successful.
While our hearts are broken, the devastation fresh, there is comfort from the thousands of you who have already reached out to us to see what we need. I was not prepared for the overwhelming support and I am thankful for each and every one of you. I know that you're feeling the loss, as well.
Love, as always-- Lindsey Marshall
