Hi everyone! My name is Concha and my mom and dad rescued me from the county shelter back in June of this year and boy was I a mess! My ear had a large wound on it and I needed antibiotics and special wound cleanser. I also was diagnosed with a heart murmur.
I didn’t know what human love was or how to be a dog. My parents have healed my ear, taught me how to go up and down the stairs, what toys are, how to use a dog bed, and what it means to be loved. I am so grateful for them and try my best to repay them with kisses!
Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago my mom took me to the vet because I found (and ate) all the milk bones which made my tummy sick. Incidentally, the vet found that almost all of my lymph nodes are enlarged. They did tests and the vet said I have something called Large Cell Lymphoma which is a fancy way to say I have cancer in my lymph nodes. This has made my parents and siblings very very sad and they cry a lot.
I went to the the oncologist (cancer doctor) and they gave my mom good news! I am candidate for treatment!! YAY!
What this means is that one time a week for 25 weeks I have to go to the doctor (don’t worry they have treats) and I have to get medicine so the yucky cancer will go away.
Now this is where I’m going to need your help, but shhhh don’t tell my mom (she’s already stressed). All of my treatment is going to cost about 9-10 thousand dollars! I tried to a get a discount for being cute and giving free kisses but it didn’t work (how rude)
I’m coming to all of my human friends to ask if you can find it in your hearts to help me get better so I can stay here longer to be with my family who saved me. I’m not ready to leave them yet and I know they aren’t ready to lose me either.
If you please help me by donating to my chemotherapy journey or even just sharing the link, I will give you free kisses for the rest of my life!
I will post the estimate for my treatment as soon as I sneak them from my mom!
With all of the love I have,
Concha
