Dear donors: We are most thankful for your generosity and would like to share the results as we close this fundraiser. We have raised USD1,818.00 from 41 donations. This results in USD1,752.94 net of GoFundMe fees. We have converted this into BRL at a rate of BRL/USD of 5.35, resulting in a total of 9,376.89, which was transferred to Movimento Uniao BR fundraiser for Rio Grande do Sul flood relief. Thanks to everyone who has donated and everyone who joined us in the driveway concert on Sunday, June 2nd, in Bethesda, MD, USA, to raise funds to help flood victims in Brazil's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. This is Brazil's worst ever natural disaster. More than half a million people have been displaced from their homes and left without power or clean water. Roads and bridges have been destroyed, and entire cities have been made inaccessible because of the floods. More than 3 weeks have passed since the start of the floods, and water levels are still high.
We will send all donations to Movimento Uniao BR (https://www.movimentouniaobr.com.br/). They help provide food, water, temporary shelter, and medical attention for flood victims. Please share this with your friends and family. Each donation makes a difference in someone's life.
