Dear Donors

The Coffs Harbour Conservatorium of Music is pleased to be able to report that the CF9 Concert grand has finally arrived in the recital hall. Last week it underwent last stages of restoration with fine tuning and voicing. It takes time for the instrument to settle especially with new strings, dampers, hammers and pins etc.

The exiting news is that the piano is going to be launched and showcased with a special recital program happening on Friday 1st May at 7.30 in the recital space at the Conservatorium. As donors you are invited to attend this special event and can reserve tickets by calling Amelia on 0266521592 (or email: [email redacted].au).

Tickets are $35 per adult and $20 Seniors and students. Two free tickets are available for donors who have given over $200 – so please call or email to book early

The recital program includes works by Scarlatti, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt.

Out total fund raising for the piano has totaled $13,000 and we still need to meet the gap between this and the total cost of $25,000. In which case we still need help while being extremely grateful for the people who have generously donated several times.

As Chair of the Board of Directors for the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium (CHRC) I would especially like to warmly thank all donors for your generosity and interest in this project. The piano not only is a wonderful asset for the Conservatorium but also for the Coffs community who value professional concert musicians

All donations have been greatly appreciated and every dollar has directly contributed to the cost of the restoration .
