Hola mi gente,
My name is Claudia Gomez - I was born in the USA but both my parents were Salvadoran immigrants. Since birth, El Salvador has had my heart as I moved there when I was 6 months old. In Usulutan, El Salvador I took my first steps, said my first words, and had my first pupusa. Even though I currently live in the United States, my solidarity for my pulgarcito has remained firm, and in times of need I enjoy coming together with the community at large to help support the people there for multiple causes.
El Salvador was recently hit by Hurricane Amanda which has caused deaths, home destruction, flooding, and an increase health risk due to COVID-19. The people there desperately need your support. An estimated 30,000 homes have been affected and many families, children, and elders have been left without shelter, food, clean water, hygienic supplies and pampers.
Although shelters are being set up around the country the overcrowding is inevitable and many people are opting to sleep outside in muddy waters. If its in your heart to donate please be of a blessing. The funds will be going directly to a non-profit organization called "Pazitos" who currently have volunteers out there. Anything helps! you can also personally message me if you have questions or concerns. I know we are struggling, but we are not alone, we have each other. So lets make it known through our actions. thank you!
God bless you all.
faithfully,
Claudia Gomez
P.S. If you would like to venmo me personally please do so at @FuerzaElSalvador7
