Computers for Ukrainian Teens in Geneva

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maddox.  I left my home in Kyiv, Ukraine, on February 24th, 2022, and found a safe place with my family in Geneva, Switzerland.  I now attend school at College de Bois Caran  with a group of 15 displaced Ukrainian 13 to 15-year-olds like me.  Learning French and integrating into Swiss society as quickly as possible is really important for us because it means being able to go to school and find stability.

Technology plays a key part in this for us.  Many of the members of this group have never had their own laptop, and the few that have badly need upgrades.  Speaking from experience, having an opportunity to use technology has made it easier to connect with family and friends, and have time together even if we are far apart.  It has also given me opportunities to learn things such as programming, cybersecurity, and more.  Because this learning aspect of computers exists, others must get a chance to use this to learn French and more.  I hope to raise enough funds to buy each group member a new Gigabyte G5 --or similar--laptop for us to be fully ready for school in September.

This GoFundMe account is my own, but any funds raised will be distributed to my father, Rudi Ganz, who will assist me with the purchase.

Updates coming soon.
