Computers for Bakaro

Aloha everybody! My brother Kamaka Dias is currently volunteering in Madagascar and is collaborating with his community to raise money to buy computers by April 2018.  His community has agreed to provide chairs and tables to help assist with the set up for the English center while Kamaka works towards providing the computers.  The completion of this project will help build the educational development of students and adults living in the small rural town of Alatsinainy Bakaro.  With access to this type of communal learning space, people of all ages will be able to enhance their language skills by: listening to English audio tracks and music, watching movies with subtitles,  and playing interactive learning games (help make learning fun!).  Above all, they will learn basic computer skills to help them apply for possible jobs outside of the countryside.

All funds will go directly to his community and be used for their English center.  They have estimated the cost for one computer with back-up power as 800,000 ariary (approximately $250 US dollars) which will allow them to buy 12 computers and use the remaining funds for other materials such as mouse pads, educational DVDs, speakers, etc.

All donations will be greatly appreciated, let's help Kamaka help his community. Mahalo plenty!
