Laptops for Tawatana Community High School
Donation protected
We were recently fortunate enough to spend time with family and friends in Tawatana in the Solomon Islands.
The community school has been doing incredible work there and now have over 800 students from Prep to Grade 12 (Form 6).
2025 was the first intake of year 12 students. They were expecting to enrol 16 students but now have over 45…in one classroom…with one teacher….with very limited resources.
They have set up a computer lab for the year 12 students. They have the room, the furniture, the power points and 4 laptops. 4 laptops for nearly 50 students is not quite enough!
We would love to be able to support these hardworking teachers and students by providing more laptops. Each laptop costs approximately $1000 AUD.
John Wesley, the principal, has the vision, the capability and the know how to make it all happen. All he needs now is the money
Our goal? $4000
$4000 = 4 laptops = improved educational outcomes = increased opportunities and pathways after school.
If you feel like this is something you would like to contribute to, please give. No donation is too small. Together, we have the capacity to make a significant difference to the students in this school.
