Esta campaña fue creada para Octavio Martínez de 23 años de edad de Aguascalientes, México. En septiembre empezará su maestría en ciencias de la computación. Fue aceptado en ETH Zürich, una universidad excelente en Suiza y una de las diez mejores del mundo.

Razones por las cuales merece tu apoyo

Octavio trabajó duro para su aceptación en la maestría en ciencias de la computación: por cinco años sólo dio lo mejor de sí durante sus estudios universitarios mientras también tenía un trabajo de medio tiempo para pagar la universidad.

Octavio no sólo se graduó con las mejores calificaciones de su carrera/generación, también es uno de los 2.5% mejores alumnos en México (de acuerdo al examen estandarizado EGEL aplicado por el CENEVAL aplicado a todos los alumnos de informática en México).

Los idiomas que Octavio habla son inglés, francés, español y por el momento está aprendiendo alemán.

Él no tiene computadora y tiene que cubrir otros gastos como el depósito y el primer mes de la renta por adelantado antes de comenzar sus estudios. (Para más detalles ver la lista abajo).

¿En qué se usará el dinero?

Él ha llegado a un punto donde sus esfuerzos ya no son suficientes y sus papás no pueden apoyarlo económicamente. Aquí hay un desglose de los gastos que debe cubrir:

* depósito + primer mes de renta: 1140 euros

* seguro de viajero: 60 euros

* boleto de avión hacia Europa: 512 euros

* permiso de residencia Suizo: 140 euros

* Computadora de alta calidad (durable y suficientemente poderosa para cálculos complejos y para aprendizaje máquina): 1500+ euros

* dos semanas viviendo en Zürich antes de recibir el primer pago de la beca (ver el siguiente punto debajo): 180 euros

¿Cómo está planeando financiar su maestría?Octavio es acreedor a la beca de excelencia de ETH. (también es la primera persona en México en obtenerla). Cubrirá todos sus gastos esenciales y no tendrá que pagar colegiatura. Él recibirá el primer pago de la beca una vez que comience en septiembre por lo que debe de cubrir aquellos gastos que ocurran antes de empezar clases.

¿Qué pasa con mi dinero una vez que dono?

El dinero está siendo recaudado por Fabian Triphan en nombre de Octavio. Fabian recibirá el dinero y se lo hará llegar a Octavio.

This campaign is created for Octavio Martinez, 23 years old, from Aguascalientes, Mexico. In September he will start his master in computer science. He got accepted at ETH Zürich, an excellent university in Switzerland and one of the best 10 universities in the world.

He does not have a computer of his own plus he needs to cover expanses, like deposit and rent in advance before he comences his studies. (see list below)

Why you should support him

He worked hard for his acceptance to the master in Computer science program: for 5 years he gave only his best during his bachelors degree while holding a part time job to pay for his studies.

Octavio not only graduated with the best grades of his program but he is among the best 2.5% students this year in Mexico (in a standardized test (EGEL) 

applied to all the informatics students in Mexico).

What is the money beeing used for?

He reached a point where his own efforts are not enough and also his parent cannot support him financially. Here is the list:

How is he planning to finance his master?

Octavio received the excellence scholarship by ETH (also beeing the first person from Mexico to receive it). It covers all the basic expenses and he does not have to pay tuition fees. He will receive the scholarship once he starts in september, so it does not cover the expenses before lectures commence.

Wie plant er, seinen Meister zu finanzieren?

Octavio erhielt das Exzellenzstipendium der ETH (auch die erste Person aus Mexiko, um es zu empfangen). Es deckt alle Grundausgaben ab und er muss keine Studiengebühren bezahlen. Er wird das Stipendium erhalten, sobald er im September beginnt, aber es deckt nicht die Kosten ab, bevor das Studium startet.
