Computer Centre appeal for disabled children

Omniya Trust in Partnership with Tamir Welfare Organization need your help to establish a computer centre at Al-Barkat School for Special Children in Faisalabad. The primary objective of this project is to provide computer education and skills development opportunities to the special children attending the school. By setting up a technologically enabled learning environment and fostering inclusivity, we aim to empower these children with essential computer skills, enhance their cognitive abilities, and create a pathway for their future success.

There is a significant gap in computer education and digital literacy among its students in the existing school. Recognizing the importance of computer literacy in today's digital world, we believe that empowering these children with essential computer skills will greatly enhance their educational experience and future opportunities in Pakistan.

What’s needed to get this project up and running:

Purchase of 5 computer systems with LCD monitors and necessary accessories. Each system will cost £120

Furniture and setup £250.

Printer £80.

Hiring of a Qualified Computer Teacher: £1,200 (Yearly salary)
Employ a qualified computer teacher who is proficient in teaching special children and well-versed in the latest social media technologies. The teacher will be responsible for conducting classes and providing training to the students. The monthly salary for the teacher will be £100, resulting in £1,200 for one year.
Running Cost for One Year: £2,130.00

Creating an environment where both disabled and non-disabled children can learn together. By opening the computer centre to local community members, we aim to promote understanding, empathy, and acceptance among all students. This approach will create opportunities for diverse individuals to interact, learn from each other, and build long-lasting friendships.
