To commemorate the efforts of building a healthier Compton, I am happy to announce that the 2020 Compton Fresh Food Giveaway Donation Campaign has officially launched. I am Nakira G., founder of Naked Gold Online, and I am working with local organizations to provide healthy produce to Compton residents on July 4th. I teamed up with Planet Health Compton and Starting With One Today to design a convenient drive-in pick up service. In order to make this happen, we are raising $10,000 with the expectation to feed up to 300-350 people. With your donation, I am able to purchase fresh produce from the Compton Community Garden, South La Café and a short list of other local markets. We will also honor social distancing orders and all volunteers will be equipped with safety gear. This event can be accessed by drive-in or walk-in.
