Composing in the Wilderness Lake Clark 2023
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Trevor Frost, a 2nd-year D.M.A. student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Wind Band Conducting with a minor in Composition. I have been offered a spot in the Composing in the Wilderness Lake Clark 2023 trip, and I am asking if you could please help fund the trip! Five other composers and I will travel to Alaska to spend five days hiking, kayaking, and exploring the wilderness. We will use our experience as inspiration for our wind band works, which will be premiered in 2024 by the SFA Wind Ensemble (Texas), the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Wind Ensemble, and the Grand Valley State University Wind Symphony (Michigan).
This trip is a highly competitive, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with other composers worldwide as we experience the beautiful surroundings and create music to add to the wind band repertoire and share with music lovers worldwide.
The funds will be used for the following: travel to and from Anchorage, as well as travel to and from our base camp; gear and clothing needed; food and water for the duration of the trip (June 3rd, 2023, to June 12, 2023); lodging; and compensation for our wilderness guides.
Please consider donating to my trip, as this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! If you want a taste of my music, please use the following link to check it out: https://www.trevorfrostmusic.com/ . Thank you so much for your time!
