Due to a series of miscommunications with my home university, I am short some funds to complete my education program here in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, even if I returned early, I would still be forced to pay for the whole program, so if I'm forced into an impossible situation, I may as well at least get the education I was promised regardless.
I am studying Russian in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and will be returning in May. My Russian has dramatically improved, but I would still like to complete my final two months and pay for the program. The listed fund goal will pay fully for the month of April (it will be up to me sort out May - I am optimistic about a scholarship I applied for). Any amount helps, and will be going to the American Councils RLASP (Russian Language Area Studies Program.) Regardless of the difficulties, my time here has been well spent, and I am very grateful for the opportunities and the people I've met. Thank you very much for reading. I have attached a video to demonstrate my current Russian proficiency and my favorite activity so far here in Kazakhstan - entertaining locals with my singing. (The song is Leteli Oblaka - flying clouds - by famed Russian Rock Group, DDT. Yes, like the crop chemical.)
