Complete RCH Trails with Risen Christ - Divine Mercy Statue
Tax deductible
The Regina Caeli Hermitage of the Congregation of Saint John in the Rockies' foothills near Littleton, CO features not only the Dome House (the guest house for groups which sleeps up to 20 guests), 2 individual prayer cabins (hopefully more in the upcoming years), and an outdoor chapel, but also several prayer and meditation trails: the Rosary Loop with the Cenacle Meeting and Meditation Spot, the Stations of the Cross, and the Stations of Light with the Transfiguration Lookout, finished in August 2024. The Stations of Light consists of 9 stations commemorating various Resurrection events; it begins at the Mass Rock, where the Stations of the Cross ends. Since the beginning of the trails' project, I had a dream to build a real life-size statue of the Risen Christ - Divine Mercy at the end of the Stations of the Cross, thus pointing out that the Tomb is not the end of the story. That statue would also seamlessly provide the transition to the Stations of Light.
To order such a statue in white marble in Italy costs 26,500€ (c. $28,000) - without shipping. So I thought my dream will remain only a dream... However, one of the faithful friends and helpers of the RCH found a company in China, where the same statue (and actually of a nicer aspect) would cost only $5,000, shipping included.
Would you be willing to help this dream come true, thus providing the final touch (actually, crowning!) to the project of the Hermitage's trails? Your gift of the end of the year would be greatly appreciated!
Please know I will be celebrating a Mass to St. Joseph for all the donors to this project, as well as for their intentions.
Deeply grateful,
Fr. Francis of the Child Jesus,
