A dear friend of mine has been affected by this disability his entire life. Watching him overcome obstacles and constantly work against a current has been inspiring and challenging. I hope to help fund research on this disease by competing in the IBJJF Denver Championships and using that platform as a way to spread awareness and donate towards a great cause.
