Compete Like Jody

Hi everyone! My name is Casey Hooper (better known as Major’s mom) and I am creating this fundraiser for two of the very best people you will ever meet, Jody and Casey Ward. Both of these incredible humans work for Haywood County Schools and pour so much love and life into the kids in the county. Jody and Casey are newlyweds (married Thanksgiving Day) and are now facing the unimaginable as Jody has been diagnosed with Rectal Cancer, just three months into their marriage.

As someone who has been affected by cancer and has benefited from a fundraiser on this very platform, I know how far this can go to ease the financial burden that Jody and Casey are facing. Cancer is incredibly expensive. There are so many doctor visits and copays, gas costs to and from appointments, snacks to buy, etc. My hope in creating this fundraiser is to ease their financial burden. My wish for the Wards is to put all of their focus on getting Jody through this!
