Hi, I’m Stan.

My passion or life’s calling is promoting the quality of life for all beings, particularly my fellow human beings and even more specifically those who are most vulnerable. Ten years ago, my vision for doing this was manifested in the form of a nonprofit company that I established with the purpose of providing support services for people with developmental and/or physical disabilities as well as for elderly and senior citizens. This support was primarily in the form of caregiving and other supported living services. I am reaching out and seeking help with staying on track, refocusing/realigning and evolving with my vision.

As with so many other folks, COVID had quite a devastating impact on me and my company; I was forced to temporarily shut down and relocate across country. However, never losing sight of my purpose and considering that home is where the heart is, I moved back to California in 2022 and since then have been making efforts to re-establish and support myself while staying committed to my vision. To this end, I have taken on jobs at other agencies that provide similar services as I do through my own much smaller company. This allows me to earn a basic living while providing compassionate care and support for others and building a foundation on which to continue growing and developing my own company.

Recently, my efforts encountered a major barrier when my car broke down and was declared unsalvageable. As I mentioned, I have taken on positions at two other companies; both are great jobs where I help a lot of people; I earn a basic living; and I hone skills vital for providing and managing exceptional care and support services. Having reliable personal transportation is essential for maintaining these jobs and crucial for evolving my vision. My attempts to purchase a suitable vehicle have been met with the challenge of making the necessary down payment. The price range for vehicles that I am in the market for is $18,000 to $21,000 and require a down payment of no less than half (50 percent) in order to be approved for financing. It is with a humble heart that I recognize the need for help and am reaching out for it.

I have saved and raised just over a total of $5,000, and my goal is to raise another $5,000, with the entire amount going toward the purchase of/down payment on a certified, pre-owned vehicle.
