Compassion is contagious. Loved Music Teacher

Hi, I'm Sandy. I'm raising funds for my good friend Thom Callan who suffered a tragic accident. Thom Callan is a decades long teacher of percussion to so many students in Maple Shade, NJ and the area. Thom is the only surviving son of Winifred Callan, 99 years old. She has buried a husband and two sons and lives with Thom, who is her only caregiver. He promised his dad he would take care of Winnie and he hasn't failed her.

Thom is an avid weight lifter, but at the gym on Dec 1st he suffered a tragic accident when he tried one more repetition on a leg press and his knees gave out. Thom broke BOTH his knees and was rushed to Cooper Hospital.

Winne and his loved Lab Remy are home waiting for Thom to return. Caring friends and one compassionate neighbor have stepped in to help. I'm in the process of working with a foster for Remy, while everyone else is trying to take turns helping Winnie, whose dementia is advanced. We cannot let Winnie fall into the hands of a nursing home where she will die a sad lonely death. Thom is unable to work and care for his mother while he undergoes surgery and extensive rehab for several months. Please consider helping a life long teacher of music and his 99 year old mother to stay in her home with some daily care giving while Thom recovers his painful and tragic injury.
