Our Marley—a dear friend, daughter, sister, aunt, and overall class act— was recently diagnosed with stage 2A cervical cancer. She has been humbled by the care and compassion from her team at Minnesota Oncology, and while their prognosis remains hopefully optimistic, the coming months promise to be especially trying.

Together, we can help shoulder the financial burden of her treatment so that she may focus on her long journey towards recovery and healing.

The proceeds raised from this GoFundMe will help support Marley through the immediate 7+ weeks of intensive chemo-radiation therapy, as well as the preventative surgeries slated for 2024. Marley also carries the BRCA2 gene, which greatly increases the risk of reproductive cancers. Following treatment, she’ll undergo an ovariectomy—the removal of both ovaries—to help ensure she battles cancer only once.

Like many of us, Marley is a self-employed freelancer without paid sick leave. The miles and hours clocked traveling from Red Wing to her daily treatments in the Twin Cities will be many. We hope our contributions help quiet her mind as she reduces her workload to confront this C-word head-on.
