On Sunday, March 11, my father went to the emergency room for continuous headaches that lasted for about a month. We then found out he was suffering from a subdural hematoma (brain bleed) pushing against the right side of his brain.
An emergency craniotomy was required to relieve the pressure, and everything was going well until he began to experience paralysis in his left arm, along with sudden seizures. We later found out he was not given anti-seizure medication like he should have been, leading to a second emergency craniotomy. He is currently resting in a medically-induced coma until he is 24 hours seizure-free.
In the meantime, my family is suffering. It was so out of the blue that there were no type of safety nets in place to keep the family afloat. My father’s business Specialty Cars is now on shaky ground, and my mother is unsure of how we will make ends meet as he recovers.
Any and all donations will be funding my family’s survival through our darkest times.
