Compassion for Bella's Healing Journey
Donation protected
This is Bella. She and her sister, Neri, became my dogs after a divorce. Even though these old girls and I have only lived together for a couple of years, it seems that they were meant to be my kiddos. Bella has a history of jaw cancer, but it has been decided to not pursue that as we had heard that taking part of a dog's jaw can make them more aggressive. Knowing this, part of her care will only include making her comfortable when it gets bad for her at the end of her life.
Right now, however, she has a cyst/tumor on her gums that is getting bigger by the week. It has grown 2-3x in size in a few months. I know it bothers her because when she leaned in for a hug this weekend and we didn't watch her mouth carefully, she yelped in pain.
I had called the same vet about the cost of her previous removal several years ago and was told it was a third of the price they are asking for now. It is sad, because she is like a puppy with a lot of life left. I asked for odd jobs a month ago in order to make some money to help her in a timely manner, but I can't raise the money quickly enough. It hurts that I can't pull money together (by myself) in a short period of time. So I'm asking for help and compassion for this ornery, yet sweet mamma-type dog that my daughters and I love so much.
Thank you for reading through this. I hate asking for help, but it's for our good girl who we desperately want to see happier and healthier as soon as possible.
