Help Bring Duner Dave Home

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Dave W—known to many as Duner Dave, Beachbum Dave, and Desert Dave—has passed away.

Dave lived a peaceful life in the desert, where he found true freedom and happiness. He was an avid dune rider, and a man who touched many lives with his adventurous spirit, his giving heart and knowledge.

We are now working to bring Dave home to Idaho, where he will be laid to rest at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery alongside his mother and father. While his burial is covered, the unexpected costs of his final cremation and transportation back to Idaho are not.

Dave leaves behind a loving family:

• His son Joshua Weil

• His daughter Amanda Matlock and son-in-law Matt Matlock

• Grandsons Desmund, Albreigh, and Avery

• Son, Zachary Camacho

A memorial and “Ride for Dave” will be held at the Weiser Sand Dunes at a later date. We hope those who knew and loved him—especially friends and family in the Ontario area—will join us to celebrate his life.

Any donation, no matter how small, will help us honor Dave and return him to his family. If you’ve ever been educated by the smarts of the infamous Dave Weil. I bet you are still using that knowledge today. Thank you for your support, kindness, and love during this difficult time.
