Invest in Positive Impact Leaders, Media, & Tools

Hi All!

This campaign is different from other GoFundMe pages in that I want to give back to supporters as if this is an investment - because I believe it is towards what we can create, build, and accomplish. We allow people to give that investment as a family or organization, in someone else's name, or to be paid forward to frontline community projects.

We have reached $1000 dollars raised! Our next goal is $7000 so that we can invest into events this fall. Events like a youth working group and presentation where we work with and uplift youth ideas for change before a school board election. Much more about that in the bottom section and thank you for being here and interested in supporting positive impact changes!

Introduction
Welcome to Community Driven, a social enterprise whose goals are to create momentum towards positive change through highlighting leaders and organizations making a positive difference, collaborating with others to expand important conversations, and bringing innovative people-centered change to the political and governance world. By creating things like positive impact content, community events, digital media, and online databases/tools - we can bring consensus and change to some of these generation-old problems and ways of doing things.

My name is Braeden and I am a designer, artist, and community organizer who has been lucky enough to grow up and have Colorado as a home since I was six. I grew up traveling, lucky gift of having parents who worked for airlines, which has helped me see from a young age many things. Most importantly I think though is the beauty of the world and that regardless of where people come from we have so much in common of wanting to be safe, healthy, and get along doing meaningful things.

I studied both environmental studies and business in college to better understand how the systems of nature and people overlap and affect each other. After college, I founded a STEAM education startup over two years before deciding the path I needed to pursue was political change. It would take political understanding to shift systemic resources where they could be more helpful and while I learned about that world I could also work as a photographer. That was seven years ago and since then I have learned many things, seen the growth of local leaders/groups, and even ran for office myself last year to give a go at winning against the odds.

Opportunities
One of the things I see as inspiring when I look at this space is that many organizations have fought through these recent times having picked up skills around technology, resilience, and organizing in the modern era. Systemic power structures in media, polling, and tv are losing influence even if it is slow since they still hold so much wealth.

When I think about the opportunity at hand; of working on creating local news media, organizing events to bring experts and organizations to the table, and developing digital tools that change the game - I get energized and optimistic. Things can change quickly and our system can work much better for us when we focus on understanding what people's needs are, our resources, and the problems ahead.

Community Driven is a positive impact community focused on bringing new media, innovation, and influence to local community organizations, everyday people, and leaders. Our focus for this year is on Colorado and at the same time we want to work on universal and replicable ideas that others can bring to their communities to organize change. The thought here is that Colorado is ready to be a leader on the national and global level - if we can be successful here it proves a model for change other cities and communities can use.

I cannot do this alone and if I want to work on building an engine and business model for change full-time, right now, I would need support... Which has led me to this GoFundMe page! With this site, I can raise the money to confidently create and move these changes forward. Regenerative design is based on the concept that through proper planning and action, we can create more value - the world is not a zero-sum game.

Investment Credit and Breakdown
For your percentage of this $20,000 goal, you will be written into our operating agreement as having a token of potential. This token of potential is worth a proportional split of 2% of any future dividends or sale of the Community Driven. We are using a token system for ease of paperwork as we get going and may change over time to mean and allow for more. To allow for a wide amount of participation this caps individually at $2500 for this round or .25% of future dividends or sale. All amounts appreciated, celebrated, and given a proportional share of 2% reward.

This puts our technical evaluation at one million dollars and seeing as we are going after the multi-billion dollar markets of news media, social organizing, lobbying, and polling I think it is just the beginning of what we can make happen together. That said this is also about a shared vision of what this money can help build and make happen - moving forward unity and momentum toward positive impact ideas, voices, and conversations.

We have a full budget breakdown here you can view. To summarize the $20,000 is to be split between an events fund, a content creation fund, and an oversight and management fund. The early priority will be an events fund so that we can immediately begin going out and engaging with our communities around important topics. CD founder Braeden grew up in and lives in Douglas County Colorado so we want to start there. From their funds get split between our major funds and projects for year as detailed in our budget.

Early success will help us bring in new energy and sponsors so that our funds can build over time!

At $20,000 we can showcase a number of events and content giving us abundant energy to to invest into our mission, impact, coalition building, and model!

If you want to give with another type of deposit: check, cash, etc we can take that as well -> You can reach out using the contact link below!

Raising this now helps stabilize my path forward and invest in local projects, media, collaborations, and change. I want to thank all those who share, give, or have supported me or positive change in some way. Much love, happy to answer questions, and see you around!
