Inna lillahi wa Inna ilayhi raji un (إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُون), Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return.

Receiving the news of his passing has left me devastated. Jibril had a big and sincere heart, he was very humble and helpful. He was studying Computer Science at University and was in his final year, only weeks away from completing the course but unfortunately had his life cut short very early. The people closest to him knew of the love and laughter that we felt around his company. I can only imagine the grief that Habo and her family are going through right now. We will miss him so much and cherish the memories that we had with him, we pray and make dua that Allah elevates him amongst the righteous.

“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end, except three: Ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who will pray for him.” Hadith | Sahih Muslim

By building a community well in Somalia we can give Jibril continuous ajr in the form of Sadaqah Jariyah. After the goal of £2600 is collected we will direct the money towards https://muslimhands.org.uk/ who will then get to work on the well. This could take around 9/12 months and can provide water for up to 1000 people. Jibril's name will be on the plaque In sha'Allah. After the work is finished I will update the fundraiser to show pictures and feedback of the well.
