Help Us Bring Veterinary Care to Those Who Need It Most

Imagine loving your pet deeply—but being unable to get them medical care because of mobility challenges, financial struggles, or housing insecurity. For too many people in our community, that’s the reality.

We believe no one should have to choose between their well-being and the health of their beloved companion.

That’s why Vets Around the Corner is launching the Community Veterinarian Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the Region of Durham that brings compassionate, in-home veterinary care to people who can’t access it on their own.

In partnership with community partner agencies across Durham Region, our team of veterinarians will travel to:

Seniors in retirement residences

Individuals with mobility issues

Families living on fixed or low incomes

Community members experiencing homelessness

We’re building more than a program—we’re building hope, dignity, and connection through the bond between people and their pets.

Our Next Step: A Mobile Veterinary Exam Vehicle

To expand our reach, we are planning to retrofit a retired ambulance into a fully equipped mobile veterinary exam room. This mobile unit will allow us to bring care directly to those who need it most, safely and efficiently—anywhere in Durham Region.

But we can’t do this without your help.
