Dear Carlisle friends and family,

A group of us are helping a recently arrived family get settled in our town. The mom and three kids are living in an apartment in Carlisle PA. The support she was receiving from Church World Services resettlement agency has been greatly diminished because of drastic cuts to their funding and staff. She is facing the next three months without funds to pay her apartment rent. We are reaching out to ask folks who can afford to help us raise the money we need to keep her from becoming homeless - especially in mid- winter with record cold temperatures.

Elham is a blessed presence here, a kind neighbor, a hard working woman and a friend to the person writing this, to Dickinson staff and students, and close connection to Donna Williams and Karen Wronski, long time Carlisle residents and engaged members of our town.

If we can all help ensure she can afford upcoming rent, while searching for better jobs and living options, Elham will be able to work and care for her family in peace. Any amount of is appreciated.
