Hello, my name is Amethyst. I am the eldest daughter of Tallison.
Tallison is a father of 3 daughters and a grandfather to two amazing little grandchildren who he cherishes with everything he has. On 2/13/25, my sister's 22nd birthday and 7 days after his own birthday, my father was out snowboarding in the morning like he does on most of his days off from work. It started out as a normal day for him, but as the day went on, my father got into a very bad accident. On one of his last rides, he was coming down and collided with a tree. His whole left side of his body struck the tree, causing immense damage. He has a very badly broken hip, broken ribs, and small punctures in his lungs from the ribs. He was taken to Springfield Hospital, where they transferred him to Dartmouth Hitchcock due to the complexity of his injury. As of 7 pm on 2/13, my father is currently awaiting surgery for his hip and is being monitored. This is all we have been given so far. After his surgery, he will need physical therapy and rehab to recover. This is going to be a long journey.
My father is a man of the community and truly loves his town and people of Chester. He would help those in need in any way he could. I’m not lying when I say I have seen him give the shirt off his back to those in need. He’s a devoted employee of the Okemo Mountain Resort for multiple years and takes absolute pride in the work he does there. So much so that he is even there enjoying the mountain when he does not have to work.
Due to this injury, my father will be out of work for a very extended period of time. Just like the rest of the world right now, he has been working extremely hard to make ends meet, working multiple jobs at a time for several years to ensure his finances. And now that he will be out of work, it will be even harder on him. So that is where this comes in. I am hoping to post this GoFundMe in hopes to collect enough money to help with his expenses that will be piling up. Of course, even a share helps, and a care package or letters. Anything you can spare. We will continue to update on his condition as time goes on.
