After 20 years of dedicated service, love, artistry, and community, KRS Hair & Wax Studio owners Kim and Chris Wilder are facing an unexpected and heartbreaking transition.

Following new ownership under Melgue Real Estate, the rent for the salon space was tripled. Unfortunately, the dramatic increase created a financial strain that made renewing the lease impossible for the business to sustain. Despite respectfully requesting additional time to transition after 20 years in the space, the request for an extension was declined, leaving them with only 30 days to vacate the salon they built from the ground up.

For two decades, KRS Hair & Wax Studio has been more than a business. It has been a safe space—a place of confidence, healing, laughter, friendship, and support for so many people throughout the community. Countless clients walked through those doors and left feeling more beautiful, encouraged, and cared for because of the heart, dedication, and personal care Kim and Chris poured into their work every single day.

Now, with very little time to prepare, they are facing the emotional and financial burden of packing, relocating, storing equipment, moving furniture, selling inventory, losing income, and rebuilding after 20 years in one location.

We are asking for community support to help ease this transition.

- Rebuilding and securing a new space
