My neighbor is one of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever met — and right now, he’s fighting for his life. He’s a single father battling two terminal cancers: Carcinoid cancer and T-cell lymphoma. Despite everything, his main concern isn’t himself — it’s his children. He’s doing everything he can to stay strong for them, but his body and finances are giving out at the same time.

Over the past few months, he’s been hospitalized multiple times, going septic twice and now living with a port for treatments. Even through the pain and exhaustion, he’s tried to keep life as normal as possible for his kids. But he’s now two months behind on rent, and the medical bills, travel costs, and daily expenses are piling up faster than he can manage.

It breaks my heart to see someone who’s already in such a tough fight have to struggle just to keep a roof over his family’s head.

He told me recently that he feels like “nobody will help.” I want to prove him wrong.
