My name is Chrissy, I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Trevor, who is currently facing housing insecurity while working hard to rebuild stability in his life.

Over the past few years, Trevor has experienced significant personal and health challenges that have made maintaining stable employment difficult. He is actively searching for work and taking steps toward regaining independence, but securing safe and stable housing has become a major barrier during this transition. Trevor is also living with diabetes, making a consistent and secure living environment especially important for managing his health and daily wellbeing.

Trevor previously worked in a hospital supporting patients in a welcoming and assistance role, where his kindness and approachable nature made a positive impact on many people. His position was discontinued following changes after the COVID-19 pandemic, and since then he has continued applying for employment opportunities while working toward rebuilding stability.

This past year has also been especially difficult following the loss of his beloved pug, Milo, who was a constant source of companionship and emotional support. Despite these challenges, Trevor continues to give back to the community by volunteering with the Vancouver SPCA, helping care for animals in need — something that reflects his compassionate and generous nature.

The goal of $2,500 will help Trevor secure safe accommodation and cover:

• Rental deposit and first month’s rent

• Moving or storage expenses

• Basic living necessities while he continues his job search

Stable housing will provide Trevor with the foundation he needs to focus on his health, employment, and moving forward with greater security and independence.

Trevor has always shown kindness toward others and a willingness to help wherever he can. This fundraiser is an opportunity for our community to support him during a difficult period and help him take an important step toward stability.
