Hi everyone, my name is Bryan, and I’ve been a proud Crosskeys resident for over 20 years.

I’m reaching out today to support something truly special in our community — The Hatch at Waunfawr Park. If you know it, you’ll understand… it’s not just a café. It’s a place of warmth, kindness, and connection. For many of us, it’s a reason to get out of the house, to take a walk, to see a friendly face and feel part of something.

For me personally, it’s been exactly that — the reason I now step outside, grab a coffee, and enjoy the park again.

Sadly, following a recent break-in and ongoing incidents, Sophie and the team are now facing the need to invest heavily in security measures just to keep their business, staff, and customers safe. This includes installing 4K CCTV and alarm systems.

These are not small costs — and for a small, community-driven café, it’s a huge and unexpected financial burden.

That’s why I’m asking, as a community, if we can come together and support them in the same way they’ve supported us.
