or worse and in sickness and health. In 2000 David’s kidneys started to decline due to medicine he had
to take and there was not another medicine he could take so they made the decision that quality of life
was beer than quan#ty. This last year they found that his kidney func#on had lowered to
approximately 17 percent which meant he had to make the decision to go on dialysis and go on the
wai#ng list for a new kidney. With the discovery of new medicines the medica#on he used to take was
able to be replaced with something else but the damage had already been done. With their faith in God
they started the journey to *nd a kidney and get him on the transplant list. Many people stepped
forward to volunteer to be tested but no one matched. Then last Saturday they got the call and Dave
got a kidney.
Joni will have to be on FMLA to stay home and care for David for some #me. In that #me they will have
to go to Swedish in Seale at least 3 #mes a week to have blood work done and check ups to make sure
all is ok.
They would never ask for help so we are doing it for them. Anything you can spare will help.
Thank you.
