Community Support for Ninoy Hite and Family

Donation protected
This is from Ninoy's dad:
Family and Friends,
This is my 12 year old son Ninoy driving the backhoe for the first time a few days ago.
Unfortunately he suffered a brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation) Wednesday (Dec. 1) afternoon. A group of tiny blood vessels formed in his brain prior to birth and were connected to an artery that they shouldn’t have been. Like hooking up a garden hose to a fire hydrant. As you can imagine this malformation was destined to fail. These types of malformations are typically found accidentally through a CAT or MRI scan for other reasons and are treated before they reach this point. Needless to say, we will certainly have his little sister and brother scanned to ensure they don’t go through this. Almost makes me wonder what other one in a million issues could be prevented with a scan or test.
Wednesday night he was flown to San Antonio university hospital and they performed surgery to relieve the pressure in his brain. He will be sedated for the next few days to let that process run its course and we should know more then. As of now there’s a high likelihood of brain damage, however the extent is unknown at this point. We’ve been told his expected stay could be 2-3 months. We won’t really know anything for the next few days but I’ll update as we know more.
Thank you so much for the support and prayers. I’ll update as we learn more.
