Ms. Wakuna has been so much more than a daycare teacher to our family — she has been a constant source of patience and love for our children. Every day, she shows up with a calm presence, a kind heart, and genuine dedication to the kids she looks after. She treats them as if they were her own, and that kind of care doesn’t go unnoticed.

Recently, Ms. Wakuna received some difficult health news. On December 31, she was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), currently at stage 0. While she is thankful that it was caught early and is under a “watch and wait” plan with regular doctor visits every three months, it has still been a lot to process. On top of that, she is also dealing with severe anemia, which has raised concerns about oxygen levels affecting her heart and brain. Because of this, she will be starting iron infusions later this month.

Through all of this, Ms. Wakuna has remained incredibly strong, grateful, and full of faith — but we know that facing health challenges like this comes with emotional, physical, and financial stress. As parents who deeply appreciate everything she does for our children, we wanted to come together to support her in the same way she has supported our families.
