Melissa Godfrey has been feeding our community for years. If you have ever eaten at the Fannin Inn, Bumble Bee, or now Pete’s Place, then you have enjoyed her cooking. Melissa is going in for open-heart surgery; the recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks.

This is what Melissa has to say: “I have Damian, who is 17. He and my daughter will be my support system. The surgery is open-heart to replace the aortic valve. I will be in the hospital for 4 or 5 days, and recovery is 4 to 8 weeks. It will be at Northside Gwinnett. I will be without work and funds for basic living for months. Every bit will help!”
