This isn’t the kind of thing that comes easily to me. Asking for financial help is uncomfortable, vulnerable, and honestly not something I imagined myself doing. But I also believe deeply in community care and mutual aid—and part of practicing that is letting myself be visible when I need support.

I was laid off in August 2024. Since then, I’ve been piecing together contract work, small jobs, and doing everything I can to build my business into something stable. Some months have gone okay. The last few months… have been rough. I’ve leaned on my family a lot, and I’d love to give them a reprieve if I can.

So here I am, reaching out to my community for support while I work on getting back to solid ground.

Why I'm Asking

I live alone and cover everything myself. Unlike people who have partners to share bills with—or who’ve had big life events like weddings or registries where community support naturally shows up—I’ve navigated much of adulthood on my own.

So think of this as my version of a little life registry—not for towels or air fryers, but for rent, groceries, utilities, and stability while I rebuild.
