Mari and Will moved from Florida to Maine following a tragic familial loss less than 5 years ago. Looking for a change of lifestyle and adventure that would enable the healing process to continue, they were intent to farm for both financial and personal sustainability. Bringing with them, both business and agricultural backgrounds, the farm they purchased in Dexter, proved to be the perfect backdrop for rebirth, with Stormy Blue Farm introduced into the community. Soon, they were immersed in in the growth of beautiful crops of both seasonal and specialty flowers and the arduous task of farming a herd of Highland cattle.....and a few other species to grace the property! As a small business owner in the community here, I can only express gratitude and respect for this hard working couple, Mari loves "playing in the dirt" and enjoying the harvest of beautiful blooms and greenery. She finds beauty in the care and nurturing of all their farm animals and can often be found sitting quietly engaged with creatures large and small.

Shortly after the new year (2025), Mari was diagnosed with Cancer and has had (understandably) a very difficult year....Chemo therapy coupled with a drastic change in body image and spiritual reckoning has at times been emotionally and physically unbearable. Now with Chemo behind her (momentarilly), she has been advised that she will need Radiation daily for FIVE weeks and she will need to be in Boston for this treatment which will commence on October 15th. Will needs to work full time and carry on with the farm and and can only be in Boston sporadically. Mari's treatment is considered "Outpatient" and she will need to cover housing (5 weeks), transportation, and meals.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.....I am asking that we come together as a community of hope and generosity to help defer the financial burdon that has befallen Mari and Will. The expense for her stay in Boston, while receiving treatment is daunting and emotionally exhausting. This gracious young couple needs our help....please!
