Dear friends and community my name is Leslie Herrera i created this gofund me on behalf of my aunt Maria who was one of the unfortunate victims of the fires that started early January. 

My name is Maria Higareda and im from Altadena. On January 8th, my home of 20 years was consumed by the Eaton fire. The fire not only destroyed my house but also wiped out so many memories and belongings that I can never replace. As I try to process this loss, I am reaching out to ask for help during this incredibly challenging time.

I’m humbly asking for donations to help me get back on my feet. The funds raised will go toward securing temporary housing, replacing essential items like clothing, personal belongings, and covering other immediate needs. With your generosity, I’ll also be able to start working toward finding a new home and moving forward from this hardship.

I know that times are tough for many, but any contribution, no matter how small, will help me tremendously as I navigate this difficult journey. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this with your friends and family would mean the world to me.

El 8 de enero, mi hogar de 20 años fue consumido por las llamas de el incendio en Eaton. En un instante, todo lo que había construido, mis recuerdos y pertenencias, se desvanecieron. Este golpe ha sido difícil de asimilar, pero estoy buscando la manera de seguir adelante, y por eso acudo a ustedes en busca de apoyo.

Estoy pidiendo ayuda para cubrir las necesidades inmediatas, como alojamiento temporal, ropa y otros artículos esenciales. Además, los fondos recaudados me ayudarán a comenzar el proceso de encontrar un nuevo hogar y a reconstruir mi vida después de esta tragedia.
