Community Support for Louisa Delaportas

Hello, thanks for reading this. My name is Michelle and I'm writing to tell you about my lovely neighbor, Louisa Delaportas. Louisa was my daughter's 2nd grade teacher at Sunset Hills Elementary, and she touched our family's life, as I'm sure she has touched many other lives in our community. She has worked tirelessly to shape our young one's worlds for the past 29 years, and has given with all her heart. Now, the time has come for us to band together as a community, and give back to her.

Louisa has recently slipped into hard times, as she has taken a 14 week unpaid medical leave of absence to undergo medical treatments, infusions and heal and prevent further complications and advancement of several autoimunne disorders. Her lifelong autoimmune disorder is currently preventing her from doing what she does best; teaching and instilling the love of learning in our children.

Her unpaid leave of absence has burdened her with piling bills and debt. I ask that we, as a community, come together and help her during these hard times.
