My name is Precenia, and I am Kieran Liner’s older sister. With broken hearts, our family is reaching out to our communities, friends, and everyone who may have known or been touched by Kieran to ask for support during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time.
On October 27, 2026, our beloved Kieran, just 20 years old, tragically lost his life in a rockfall accident while climbing the Matterhorn in Switzerland.
Kieran was so much more than the circumstances of his passing. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a skateboarder, a golfer, and a passionate young alpinist. He was a young man with a love for adventure and the outdoors, whose life brought him to some extraordinary places. At just 20 years old, he had so much life ahead of him, and it is difficult to put into words the heartbreak of losing him so unexpectedly.
Kieran was a beloved member of the climbing community in Austin, Texas, where he resided, and he also had a tremendous home base in Pensacola, Florida, the place he called home. These two communities represent the people, friendships, and connections that were part of Kieran’s life. We know that his loss will be felt far beyond our immediate family, and we are hoping to bring everyone together to honor his memory.
Our immediate goal is to bring Kieran home to the United States and give him the farewell he deserves. We are asking for donations to help cover the unexpected expenses associated with bringing him home from Switzerland, funeral and burial arrangements, and celebrations of life in both Austin, Texas, and Pensacola, Florida, where family, friends, and members of his communities can gather to remember and celebrate him.
Losing someone so young, so suddenly, and so far from home is something no family can ever prepare for. Alongside the heartbreak of losing Kieran, we are facing significant logistical and financial challenges that we never imagined we would have to navigate.
If you are able to contribute, any amount, no matter how big or small, would mean more to our family than we could ever express. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community would also be an incredible help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has reached out, offered support, shared memories, and kept our family in their thoughts. We are deeply grateful for the kindness and compassion already shown to us.
Our greatest wish right now is to bring Kieran home, lay him to rest, and give everyone who loved him the opportunity to say goodbye.
Until we meet again, Kieran. You are loved beyond words, and you will never be forgotten.
