My sister Lyndsay and brother-in-law Bill are looking for any available help from the community. My niece Kelce was in a Children's Hospital for nearly 3 weeks. She was brought in because she was not finishing her bottles, was spitting up, and was losing weight. During testing, it was discovered that her glucose levels were low, and despite giving her dextrose, the levels would drop soon after. The hospital struggled to increase her weight, and she had to have an NG tube for food delivery. They are waiting on additional genetic testing to confirm, but it's likely a metabolic disorder like VLCAD, which is incredibly scary at her age.

It will be a long road ahead for the family. In the short term, Kelce will need glucose strips and special formulas, along with physical and speech therapy. Lyndsay and Bill will need fuel to drive to and from the hospital, genetic testing/counseling, and driving to physical/speech therapy, which is an hour away from the Army base where they live. They'll need childcare support for her brother William when they bring Kelce to therapy, as well as any other bills and medical supplies insurance will not cover. This would be stressful for anyone, but unfortunately, Bill and Lyndsay are trying to manage this on one income. If you're unable to provide monetary support, we appreciate prayers as well.
