New Years is usually fun for most of us, but on 1/1/2026, Kayla received the news she has esophageal cancer. On Jan 15th 2026, Kayla went under the knife for gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and gastric bypass to try and eliminate the acid aggravating her esophagus.

She is a very proud mother of 3 kiddos, who are in school; and one is in an intern position.

She was originally told she would be off work 4-6 weeks, but some complications have happened and she will not be going back to work until March.

She is a single mom of 3, and has always done it herself. But now she is reaching out to our closed knit family like community in hopes we can rally together and help her get back on her feet. Between rent, utilities, and other household items we all know how expensive it can get. She has utilized the resources in the community, but that only covered utilities for one month.

I have asked for just enough to cover rent and utilities for one month, so when she does go back to work, she will be caught up.
