We are Mike and Mary Cook, and we wanted to let everyone know about a dear friend, and small business owner here in Mesa, who needs our help.

Jim Recchia, is the owner of Pizza Shack Slice House (which used to be called Pizza Roma Italian Cafe), and is located at 7145 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ. Jim has a couple of serious health issues and is in need of a couple of medical procedures to help with his eyesight as well with his ability to walk. He is at serious risk of losing his sight in his right eye, and he needs help to cover the expense of the procedures to fix these issues with his eye and his foot, since his insurance is denying the whole cost of fixing both of them.

We all know that the high cost of medical procedures is a struggle for all of us, and it can be worse for small business owners when trying to get medical insurance that covers what you need. Without your help, Jim could lose the sight in his eye, the use of his foot, and risk losing his restaurant as well.

For someone who provides the East Valley with wonderful Italian cuisine and works 7 days a week and long hours, we wanted to see if we, as a community, could help Jim out and let him know how much we appreciate all that he does at his restaurant to make our lives enjoyable.
