I have created this gofundme for a young couple that are in need of some community support as they navigate some trying times ahead. Jack was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.

To rewind a little. Jack and Joslyn, came into my life a few months back. They are a sweet young couple making their way in this world and are hard-working and dedicated to each other. Together for 3 years now, they are like every other young couple in the facts of trying to establish life and balance love in the mix.

Just a little over a month ago, Jack started to experience some intense headaches and vertigo. Not sure what it was, they sought medical advice. Soon after the pain became unbearable and Joslyn was forced to take Jack back to the ER. This is when they learned that Jack had a tumor growing in his brain. Surgeons at this local hospital felt it best to transfer Jack to a specialist group in Philadelphia, where the team could remove the tumor and begin the testing to find out what is exactly going on. Last week it was confirmed, the tumor test came back and it is in fact cancer. Jack has begun the radiation treatment and will be undergoing it for the next six weeks. After that Chemo Therapy will begin.

As you can imagine, no young couple can afford news like this in their mid-twenties. Luckily, Jack has good insurance, and so far, everything has been manageable. The real issue will be the loss of work hours for treatment, side effects, and co-pays and deductibles. I started this gofundme to help prevent the burdens of a major medical experience like this to become a financial burden on this beautiful young couple.

Story of Jack and Joslyn:

Jack and Joslyn met three years ago when Joslyn started a new job at a greenhouse. It was love at first sight, and they discovered they had so much in common. They both love hunting, fishing, art, and music. As they discovered more about each other, they decided that this was it, and they wanted to be together. A cute fun fact about Jack is that he makes her a breakfast sandwich every morning and draws a picture on the foil, then when she comes to work, she hangs this picture on her cubical wall.

After a couple of jobs, Joslyn ended up working for me in my office as an A/R specialist. She fit in right away with her perky personality and go-getter drive. Hearing the way she talks about Jack, and then speaking to Jack myself, everything is as it seems and these two are madly in love.

The testament of their love is a story of two strangers becoming best friends who discover they are soulmates.

Their goals are on hold as they tackle this obstacle, but I have no doubt they will achieve them all.

When I asked their permission to start this fund, they both were hesitant because they did not want it to seem as if they were begging for money. I told them I understood, not an easy thing to deal with. I can tell you first hand this is not the case. I explained to them that community comes together to help each other and that is why I wanted to get their story out. This young couple would work 2 or 3 jobs if they had to.
