Community support for Gina and her kids

It is with a heavy heart that I am creating this fundraiser for Gina and her kids. Phil died suddenly on September 17, 2024, leaving behind his two kids, Oliver and Juniper, his co-parent Gina, his parents and family, and so many friends who loved him dearly. He was kind and gentle, smart and witty, a devoted father. Phil was an avid gardener and very eco-conscious, so the family is hoping to give him the best Earth friendly funeral they can to honor his passion and love of nature.

Gina is now facing solo parenthood, in the midst of her own grief and while tending to her children's new and profound loss. Oliver and Juniper will need so much love and support, and easing the financial burden on their mom is one really important way that we can provide this.

Funerals and the business of dying are very expensive. It can cost anywhere from $5,000-10,000.

Gina and the kids will need time and space to process their loss, and our contributions will bring some financial ease. These funds will allow her to extend her sick and vacation days so that she can care for herself and her kids. It will help with daily needs that are hard enough in the best of times, such as being able to order food in instead of cooking. Gina will be the sole supporter of her family now and our contributions will also help her adjust to her new life of raising growing children on one income and new child care requirements.
