Help Fanny Shindle Recover After Hit-and-Run Tragedy
Story
On August 29, 2025, our beloved friend, mother, and sister, Fanny (Filomena) Shindle, was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Deerfield Beach, Florida. While crossing East Hillsboro Boulevard with her boyfriend after dinner, a speeding car plowed into them and left the scene without stopping.
Fanny was thrown nearly 30 feet and sustained devastating injuries, including multiple broken bones. She has undergone (2) emergency abdominal mesh surgeries and several orthopedic surgeries on her femur, tibia, ankle and right arm!
She has been in the hospital and rehab for nearly a month, with no leads as to who did this heinous crime!
This tragedy has left her family and loved ones heartbroken—and with mounting medical bills. She has a long road ahead with continued surgeries, therapy, and rehabilitation.
