When it rains it pours.

The owners and staff at Cafe Bambino are casting a net out to help our long time barista Erica Sherman who in the last 5 days has had expensive emergency veterinary bills on Boris the dog and now emergency surgery on Erica the human.  

Erica, like many of us, is uninsured.  I think we can all empathize with the stress she feels having these unexpected large bills looming over her. 

What is community?  How do we nurture it?  What does it take to make it real?  Well its the actions we do to and for each other.  

Erica has not only made you coffee, but also took care of your pets when you were out of town, if your were lucky she made you a birthday cake and gave you a shoulder to cry on when you had unbearable loss in your life.  You did not ask for those acts of kindness she just gave them to you.

Now is the time to give a little back to a person who is  giving, caring and humble.
