Hello everyone, it doesn't really matter what my name is. Just know that a dear friend of ours could use some help. His name is Cole Mauney and many of you already know him whether or not you know his name. He has been a local face around Jewett for the last 10+ years; most of you have seen him in B & Bs as the produce manager. His three children attend Leon School, and his wife works at JJ's. The important thing here is that we as a community need to band together and give him some help. Cole has been diagnosed with Aggressive Large B Cell Lymphoma. He is only 39 years old and has found himself at a crossroads. Cole desperately wants to see his children grow up, but with this diagnosis, that possibility is not certain. There are two options for his treatment, but one seems out of reach. He could undergo aggressive chemotherapy, but many times the side effects are just as bad, if not worse. He just lost his mother this past year from the same cancer and would like to try a tried-and-true natural route, but this costs as well. We can help with that. We know that times are hard and money is tight, but allowing a father and husband to be there for his family is well worth it. It's not our duty to offer medical advice or protocols to those who are sick, but it is to offer support using the means we have been blessed with. If money is not possible, then prayers are always helpful. Please help us bless this family with a chance to life.
