Hi, my name is Chiron. I’m reaching out to the community right now with support as I navigate a difficult situation from my previous employer.

Mid- February I was let go from my job. I am pursuing this through several legal channels, and have built a promising case with a lot of support from local organizations and community members. However, this process is taking a long, long time. Separately, the employer has rejected my unemployment claim and appealing this has also turned into a lengthy process that keeps getting further delayed. I am owed a lot of money at this point.

I am still searching for work and gigs, but the job market at this time is hard. This has propelled me into leaning into my natural skills and abilities. I am simultaneously in a politicized somatics cohort and a death doula certification program for the rest of the year. I will also soon be starting massage therapy school this summer to eventually have a well rounded personal practice in the future, and I will have a few paid work study opportunities.

Things will settle out for me this summer. Things are moving and changing. But the step between now and the summer seems far, and I am struggling to make my current bills as well as plan for an upcoming trip for my death doula program. I am reaching out to the community right now for any available support in assisting me on this journey.

I am asking for $3000 to cover rent and expenses for the month of May, as well as cover past due bills and help me navigate some health issues. This money will also provide assistance in traveling to the upcoming in-person intensive training for these programs.
