Community Support for Aresa and C'Mya from MV Calle 8

On April 14th, in the middle of the night, two dear members of our community lost everything due to a tragic fire in their home. Aresa and her six-year-old daughter, C’Mya (from Mundo Verde Calle 8 first grade), just experienced a life-altering tragedy which they are still mourning and processing. It all happened so fast, and if it weren’t for the neighbor’s pounding on their door in the middle of the night, things could have been much worse. By the grace of God, the entire family is safe, however, the family only has what they were wearing that night. Their home is deemed a total loss, including the loss of C’mya’s pet cat - Benji.

The power of a community can also be life-altering, for the better, and so now we turn to you, to help our Mundo Verde family recover. They now face so many expenses as they lodge in temporary housing, replace clothes, furniture, and every item in their home. El 14 de abril, en la mitad de la noche, dos queridas miembros de nuestra comunidad perdieron todo debido a un trágico incendio en su hogar. Aresa y su hija de seis años, C’Mya (de primer grado en Mundo Verde Calle 8), acaban de experimentar una tragedia que cambió sus vidas y que aún están procesánd. Todo sucedió tan rápido, y si no fuera por los golpes de una vecina en su puerta, las cosas podrían haber sido mucho peor.
